BEAR
Adapted by Donald Martin from Bernie Hafeli's Novel

In the vein of 'Cinema Paradiso' and 'My Life is a Dog', 'Bear Season' tells the story of a boy named Chester who lives with his mother and his uncle Izzy, in Detroit after WW2. It's 1951, and young Chester is on the lookout for a hero after losing his father in WWII. With his uncle who can't seem to hold a job for more than a few months, in an effort to help him make peace with his painful, war-torn past, Chester sets out on a life-changing journey that takes them from Detroit to Edinburgh, in hopes of meeting Wojtek, the legendary Polish soldier bear.
